This calling has been years in the making. I am a wife to a wonderful man, and I am a mother of nine, which has provided one adventure after another.  After hearing that I should write a book many times over the years, I started asking God about His idea in that.  I love stories, whether fiction or real life ones, and I sensed an invitation.  I received this idea of “Glimpses Into the Wardrobe”, a blog, not a book, based on some of my favorite stories from Narnia.  That was several years ago……and then life and myself happened.

But God’s timing is perfect.

In the meantime, God has been deeply at work in my life.  I finished my master’s degree in counseling and became a spiritual director, both of which have been profoundly transformative.  God has helped me work through some of my stumbling blocks that have tripped me up from proceeding with Glimpses Into the Wardrobe.  Looking back over the initial work I put into this, I see that God is weaving a beautiful story.  As a spiritual director now, I see that my work both for myself and others is to help us catch glimpses of God in our ordinary lives–seeing into the wardrobe.  He gave me this name for my website before I even knew what spiritual direction was.  

I thought this would be just a blog, but God has made it so much more since the initial invitation.  So whether you are looking for spiritual direction or just want some encouragement to see God in your story, I hope that you meet God and His love more intimately here.  He writes the best stories when we trust Him with the authorship.
